About Soymeds:

SoyMeds is a spin-out company from the UNC Charlotte Department of Biological Sciences. The company was founded in 2005 by Dr. Ken Piller (Adjunct Research Professor) and Dr. Ken Bost (Belk Distinguished Professor of Immunology). The unique bridging of scientists with expertise in plant biotechnology and immunology has resulted in a series of successful collaborations and funding from several different agencies. The mission of SoyMeds is to demonstrate the utility of soybean as a host for the expression of novel recombinant proteins that can be used to address current unmet needs in the healthcare industry. SoyMeds is considered a relatively young start-up company with a focus on early stage R&D and proof-of- concept studies. SoyMeds worksite is located within the Department of Biological Sciences of the UNC Charlotte campus. Soymeds is an equal opportunity employer, but does not undertake Visa sponsorships for foreign students transitioning to the workforce. All applicants must hold current authorizations to work in United States at time of interview.
